Château Pichon Longueville Baron 2004

Tasting notes: The blending was rigorous with classic proportions. Cabernet franc was integrated. The wine is very harmonious with preserved fruits: blackcurrent and morello cherry. Mouthfilling, with a fresh, fleshy and long finish. Balance is favored: integrated oak, smooth and dense tannins. Lots of currant, licorice and light tar aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, yet refined and silky on the palate, with a lightly chewy finish.

Food Pairing: An excellent match with red meat, red meat game, foie gras, mushroom dishes and cheese like: Saint Nectaire, Edam, and Gouda.
